“This is excellent music… Eat it, breathe it, absorb it! It’ll help you grow in eight ways!” 50 years ago, in 1974, legendary Phoenix radio program director, Bill Compton, wrote those words on the back of a brand spanking new album called “Saving Grace”, released by an unknown singer with a funny last name.

KDKB’s air staff embraced and fell hard for this record, immediately putting 8 tracks – including “Blues on my Table”, “Naomi’s Song”, “You and I”, “(Loaded) Like We Used to Do” and more – on air in full rotation … and so began Arizona’s decades-long love fest with their favorite adopted son, Jerry Riopelle.

Come join us for what promises to be an incredible evening of music and great vibes. The Jerry Riopelle band (David Plenn, John Harris, Llory McDonald, Paul Riopelle, David Goodstein, Tara Austin) and some VERY special guest singers will celebrate Jerry and the 50th-anniversary milestone of this iconic album that dominated the Phoenix airwaves throughout the 70s and beyond… And as if that classic album isn’t enough, there will be some extra faves thrown in for good measure! As always, the room will be full of love, laughs, tears, grooves and the undeniable spirit of our beloved Jerry, Jerry, Jerry!

“If I could, I would build an Arizona musical Mount Rushmore. The monument would have Marty Robbins and Alice Cooper as bookends. Inside would be Linda Ronstadt and Stevie Nicks. Front and center, though, would be Jerry Riopelle”… (Dan Engler – Verde Independent 2018)
